We Are Hiring! Cafe Manager, Northeast
We are looking for a full-time cafe manager that is team oriented, dedicated, and a skilled leader for our bustling Northeast Cafe. This position includes bar hours and administrative off-bar hours. On-call availability is needed and previous experience in cafe management is required.
Primary responsibilities include:STAFF MANAGEMENT
- Maintain and manage appropriate staff for fluctuating café needs
- Manage payroll and labor hours per approved plan (cost control)
- Trainings behind bar
- Staff Scheduling
- Establish positive and healthy working environment to foster growth of staff skills and team unity
- Cultivate relationships among managers and staff among DW locations
- Meetings with café staff (typically every other month)
- Quarterly meeting with Retail Operations Coordinator & Director of Community and Development
- Quarterly All Manager meetings
- Communication with Retail Operations Coordinator & Director of Community and Development
- Conduct Reviews of cafe staff members
- Company policies and handbook implemented, maintained and enforced
- Maintain a welcoming and accommodating staff and cafe environment
- Maintain a culture of excellence
- Quality control
- Maintain WiFi Connection/IT services
- Weekly tracking and responsiveness to reviews/customer feedback
- Keep space clean and organized
- Responsibility to landlord and/or co-tenants in day-to-day matters
- Manage music volume and selection (utilize ASCAP guidelines)
- Keep shelves and products stocked/organized
- Manage any special events planned/coordinated with the space
- Safety and security
- Keep equipment clean, organized and in proper working condition
- Communicate and coordinate reactive maintenance
- Manage water filtration
- Manage inventories of all items needed for menu execution
- Track bakery waste and update standing order accordingly weekly with pastry provider
- Inventory/order retail merchandise weekly
- Train all methods and recipes for menu execution
- Maintain clean, clear and accurate menu and retail merchandise (information and pricing, inventory and cost control)
- Quality control systems of products (dial in, recipes etc.)
- Knowledge of products
- Active participant in greater Dogwood quality control and experience
